brass is definitely my favorite aesthetically, and i feel that the acrylic is probably more practical than the glass. i like the idea of glass, but as someone who isn’t the most careful person crashing around in the studio, it probably wouldn’t last long.
I hear you on the glass. Thats a special edition piece we made for this glass show at Heller gallery. The group show was “breakable”. Thought it would be interesting to make the cuffs out of glass to stress the fragile relationship we have with the earth/glaciers. etc.
that’s a really interesting relationship between material & concept. i didn’t even think of that, & it makes me appreciate it more. i like the idea of the cuff having a substantial weight to it.
I like them all, but third from the top are my favorite. It’s something about the color and texture of the metal…
